Incompetence

8/29 Roommate loses parking pass after getting into an accident. I order a new one, which costs $75. (I have two other passes).

9/4 Parking pass company doesn’t get back to me so I have to call again to place my order.

9/5 Parking pass company needs to know which pass to remove from their system. Im very clear which pass I still have.

9/13 New permit finally arrives. I can only pick it up during business hours at the office, so I have to be home from work early.

9/22 My other roommate’s car is towed. Parking permit folks admit they made a mistake by removing the wrong pass from their system, and even said I was very clear which pass I still had. They offer to have me drive 20 miles during business hours to pick up my money. I say no. They send me a check.

10/6 Finally get the check, and deposit it.

10/12 The check bounces.

10/17 I get the returned check in the mail with a $10 fee.

10/25 I’m told another check is on the way.

11/7 After waiting for almost two weeks, I get a call and am told to pick up the money at the towing company, but only during business hours.

On the same day I get that call, I get a check in the mail for $185. I call the bank to see if the funds are available. They are not.

11/12 I drive to the towing company and get my money.

A two and a half month ordeal for a parking pass.
