Here’s a review of Mr. Hockey: My Story by Gordie Howe I wrote a couple of years ago. I spoke to his son, Mark, shortly afterward, only to learn he hadn’t actually read the book yet! I can’t imagine, however, there was anything in the book his son didn’t already know.

Last week, on May 22, my cousins Jackie and Jim hosted a surprise party for their parents out in Greenbelt. My Uncle Joe will be turning 90 soon, and his wife, Rhoda, has the same birthday.
In his speech, my uncle called me the Bobby Orr of the family. And yes, he said this despite having actually watched me play.
