Me with my buddies Craig Laughlin and Courtney Laughlin.
On Sunday, I played in a charity game at Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Arlington. I suited up for the hockey media team, which included several folks I’ve know for a long time from covering the Caps. We faced off against the USA Warriors.
For me, it was interesting looking around and counting the number of people I’ve written about. The anthem singer was Bob McDonald, who I wrote about for The Post a couple of years ago. I’ve written plenty about Craig and Courtney Laughlin. Wes Johnson was the announcer, my buddy Jarrod was playing the music. Even Goat was there, not to mention some of my Caps Outsider readers who I’ve gotten to know over the years.
Plus, my grandmother finally got to see me play. Better this than a beer league game, which get a bit more rambunctious.
